Our Solvent Based (SB) product is used for new and/or clean fabrics, and no cleaning/extraction is needed prior to the application of the product. Solvent Based is applied after a simple vacuuming of the fabric and has only a 1 hour curing time. After the SB product has been applied to the fabric, there will be an alcohol smell for a couple hours before it fades away.

Our Water Based (WB) product can be applied to used fabrics. Prior to the application of the Water Based product, an extraction is done to ensure that the fabric is as clean as possible before protecting the fibers. Water Based is applied right after the extraction, wet-in-wet. There is a curing time of approximately 8 hours and a drying time of 24 hours (depending on the ventilation of the area). The protected area may be used after 8 hours but may still be moist. This product does not have any smell during or after application.

Our 16oz (470 ml) Aerosol Can contains the Solvent Based product and has the same effect as the SB and WB products. This Aerosol Can can be used by anyone without the use of pumps and is therefore good for small and quick projects such as individual pillow covers, very small carpets, and other small pieces of fabric. As with the WB and SB products, make sure the fabric is clean before applying the protection. Since this Aerosol Can contains the SB product, there will be an alcohol smell post-application that will fade away.
